Kaitaia College is situated in central Kaitaia in the Far North, with a roll of 900. The school has predominantly aging buildings with a lot of the Blocks constructed between 1930-1970. As such they are now at the point where they need upgrading & modernising to create beneficial and safe learning environments.
Block M: Wharekai is in the process of undergoing refurbishment. Part of the process requires the design of two kitchens and a laundry area.
The Wharekai will undergo a re-design whcih will include the cladding, floor coverings and joinery being replaced to the end of their lifecycle.
