The board of trustees for te Awamutu College are seeking registrations of interest from suitable experienced main contractors.
The project includes the following scope:
• Major interior upgrade to Labs A2 & A3, including floor coverings, wall linings, heating system, lab benches and services.
• Replacement of flat area roofing around A Block.
• Addition of electric controls to high level opening windows in Blocks A & B classroom spaces.
• Replacement of old fluorescent lighting in A1, Student centre, B3, B4 & the seminar room with new LED lighting.
• Addition of heat pumps to deans’ offices in student centre.
• Replacement of flooring in seminar room.
• Removal of Block D toilets and the adjacent special needs bathroom and rearranging of the rooms to form new LSC spaces.
• Replacement of decking along the north side of the pavilion (Block 9).
• Replacement of old fluorescent lighting in the pavilion (whole block) with new LED lighting.
• Replacing flooring (laying new flooring) to changing rooms in pavilion.
• Replacement of pavilion roof, guttering & flashings.
• Replacement of carpark toilets adjacent to pavilion (Block 10). This is either a complete refurbishment of everything, or a replacement of the block with a pre-fab toilet block of some sort.
• Work in the teaching spaces and student centre, and roofing work to Block A must be completed over the 23/24 summer holiday break. Work to D block toilets area and the pavilion & toilets can be carried out during term 1 2024.
