The Contract Works required The Contract Works required are the refurbishment of existing classrooms 18,19,21 & 22 at Lynmore School into play-based learning spaces with shared breakout spaces and new external sliding doors to promote outdoor learning. These works are to include suspended ceilings, internal linings as well as wall & roofing insulation. The existing toilets are to be relocated to the pool complex and existing changing rooms refurbished. Structural strengthening is required to the existing pool roofing beams as it is currently not complying with NZBC.
- Internal Refurbishment of 4 x classrooms comprising of removal of all internal linings & suspended ceilings and re-instating with new, fully insulated. New external sliding doors to connect the classrooms to the existing deck and double glazing to be retrofitted to the remainder of the windows. New
floor & acoustic wall coverings & resource joinery fittings throughout.
- Demolition of existing toilets & cloak bays and converting these spaces into new shared break out rooms with STEM type joinery fittings.
- New toilets to be constructed in the existing pool changing rooms and conversion of the remainder of this space into new boys and girls changing rooms. Structural strengthening to the existing pool complex beams as these were altered during a previous alteration to the changing rooms and now
does not comply with NZBC.
- New roofing to D&F Classrooms 18,19, 20, 21.
- The Contractor will be engaged through a Ministry of Education Major Works Contract (Construction contracts for professional services and works). There is a strong preference for RFQ responses with no Contract related tags. If tags are raised, they will be considered on a case by case basis as
part of the evaluation process.
