Outcome sought - Proposal for a new Classroom Block, comprising of (4) new classrooms, covered outdoor area, office for Learning Support Coordinator and toilet block.
History - Blocks 13 and 12 have been demolished due to the age and the presence of asbestos. A replacement block to be constructed for a more fit for purpose flexible classroom block including integrated Learning Support Office (LSC) within the new block.
The new teaching block will consist of:
4 x teaching spaces
1 x covered outdoor learning space
4 x Breakout spaces
Toilets
Library
Veranda Area
The floor area for the new building is approximately 552m2. The veranda area is 192m2.Construction of the new classroom block as per the BoT approved design including all service connections. The client requires a contractor that will be proactive with its approach in the current market and give assurances around a robust schedule. The expectation is the building will be completed for the start of the new school term in 2022 (early February 2022). Tenders should advise if this is achievable in their tender response.
