Waitati School has approximately 85 pupils’ and 4 teaching spaces. It is situated in the seaside suburb of Waitati 20 minutes North of Dunedin.
• Block 1 is a single-story block constructed in 1965 and of fibre cement and brick veneer cladding
• Block 4 is a relocatable building with steel cladding, constructed in 1974 and with single glazed aluminium windows.
• Block 5 is storage building with existing translucent roof strips
The Contract Works required are:
i. Waitati School are looking to modernise and protect Block 1 by carrying out a full refurbishment including:
ii. Upgrading Existing Block 1 Fire Alarm to type 4 system
iii. Creating and opening between Block 1 Classrooms 1 & 2, with new sliding door configuration
iv. Relocating existing plumbing and drainage for sink benches in each Classroom
v. Reconfiguring Classroom 2 space, removing existing glazed partitions with Grade A safety Glass
vi. Updating existing lighting to LED in both Classrooms (separate price required)
vii. Providing new panel type acoustic treatment to the Cooking Room, selected walls and ceilings in Classrooms 1 &2 (separate price required)
viii. Extending Block 4 timber deck with new canopy over (separate price required)
ix. Cleaning and installing new security mesh under Clearlite panels Blocks 2&5
