The Ministry of Education wishes to procure a suitable, experienced Quantity Surveyor to assist with the Bay of Islands College Redevelopment Project.
Background
This project forms part of the Northland Pipeline of Works to meet the requirements for roll growth predications at the school and replace old teaching spaces that are no longer suitable for the requirements of the school. The project will be delivered using a design & build delivery model progressed in partnership with the school and around a live school environment. The proposed development comprises of redevelopment and reconfiguration of The School’s Block C building, demolition of two technology buildings (Blocks W and X), comprising of food technology and hard materials classrooms.
The general scope of works also includes:
Selected demolition, new roof structure and claddings, replacement of select external joinery, renovated bathroom facilities, moving or installing interior walls, new floor, ceiling and wall linings, electrical and mechanical service upgrades, new decks, steps and access ways as shown, subfloor drainage remediation, and interior and exterior finishes and painting.
