Chelsea School is a decile 10, year 1-6 primary school on Auckland’s North Shore, comprising 17 teaching spaces providing current capacity for approximately 390 students. One of the blocks – Block 7 – is at the end of its serviceable life, and is a Ministry redevelopment priority. Recent investigation has shown that rebuild is more economical than remediation due to the high cost of remediation estimated to be required. Currently Block 7 comprises six teaching spaces.
