NOI – Directory of Construction Suppliers for Major Works Refresh

The Ministry established a national panel of suppliers (‘the Directory’) in 2018 that prequalifies capability and capacity from which the Ministry will procure major works contracts over $500,000 through its Capital Works programme.
The Capital Works programme includes construction projects that are funded and delivered by the Ministry and typically relate to projects for:
• New schools
• School rebuilds, refurbishments and redevelopments
• Roll Growth projects
• Weathertightness and structural strengthening projects

The relevant programme of works to be delivered through the Directory is anticipated to have a value of approximately $250m per annum.

The refresh will allow new entrants to gain admittance and for existing suppliers to increase their scope of delivery or improve their score.

It is intended that the RFP will be issued via GETS on or before 10th February 2020. The closing date for submissions is intended to be mid March 2020, approximately 25 clear business days following publishing.

The Ministry will hold a number of supplier briefings following the issue of the RFP to support suppliers in understanding the opportunity and the submission requirements. At this stage briefing sessions are intended to be held in;
• Wellington
• Christchurch
• Auckland

A video and presentation slides will be made available to those who cannot attend the briefing sessions.
