The Ministry is seeking a suitably qualified Main Contractor to provide construction services to undertake enabling works for a redevelopment project at Wairarapa College.

Major Redevelopment works are being undertaken at the Wairarapa College to address the weathertightness, seismic requirements, building condition and rationalisation requirements at the school: Enabling works for this project are required to be undertaken during the School’s 2019 Christmas holidays

Outcome sought:
o Asbestos removal to Block A and other blocks scheduled for demolition.
o Demolition works of Blocks P, Q, and part Block A including common room

The construction phase is expected to start over the December 2019 holidays through to the end of February 2020. An asbestos report is currently in the process of being completed and will be issued during the tender phase via an NTT.
