The project will incorporate upgrade of floor coverings and interior wall claddings of the classroom spaces; upgrade of floor coverings to the corridor areas, administration offices, and north end toilets; and also replacement / upgrade of electrical distribution sub-boards at Block A - all as determined from Condition Assessment process.

The ILE upgrade component of this Block A upgrade will be supported by the Accelerated Modernisation Scheme (AMS) funding. In conjunction with this project a school-wide upgrade of fire alarm systems is proposed to provide an analogue addressable fire alarm panel at Block A, and the linking of all existing systems on the school site to this one panel - including all necessary upgrade of detectors, etc.

In conjunction with this project a school-wide Asbestos Survey will be commissioned and immediate action taken on any urgent health & safety concerns that may arise from the Report.
The replacement of interior wall claddings to classrooms (1 and 2) in block E and the provision of sliding doors between these classrooms is also included.

This tender has been completed.

Further information:
Alexander Construction did not tender which obligated us to bring in a third contractor, one who didn't respond on GETS.
This third contractor won the tender and will start on site soon.
