Overview

This Request for Tenders (RFT) is an invitation to suitably qualified contractors to submit a Tender for Main Building Contractor for Alteration to Block 1, 6 & 18 and Electrical upgrade to Block 18 at Finlayson Park School.
Block 1
This project is to alter and upgrade to the interior of Block 1. This includes altering the layout of the 2 classrooms to create one teaching space and at the same time improve the tech support office and workroom. As well as moving walls the interior of the classrooms and workroom will be refurbished with new linings, lightings, fittings. The building was last upgraded in 2001
Block 6
Block 6 consists of 8 relocatable classrooms. The interior of these rooms was refurbished 7 years ago and the aluminium windows and roofs replaced with new 4 years ago. The exterior cladding is asbestos. This has become brittle and is cracked in a lot of places. The project is to remove the asbestos cement cladding and replace it with Hardiflex cladding.
Block 18
Block 18 has 5 classrooms. 3 of these are in reasonable condition with the other 2 being heavily worn. The project is to upgrade the interior of the 2 classrooms with new flooring, new pinboard wall linings, new lighting and re-paint. A separate project is to replace the switchboards in this block as set out in the electrical specialist report done as part of the 10YP.
