This RFP is for Master Planning and Lead Design Services at Ashburton Intermediate and Allenton Primary.
Ashburton Intermediate School is a year 7 and 8 school located in Ashburton approximately 80 km south west of Christchurch in Canterbury. Serving the wider Ashburton area, the school takes pupils from Allenton School, Ashburton Netherby School, Chertsey School, Fairton School, Hampstead School and Tinwald School all of which have experienced roll growth over the last 10 years.
Redevelopment at Ashburton Intermediate School includes replacement of current and construction of new teaching spaces to keep up with roll growth demand. It will provide 21 teaching spaces across the site with a build capacity of 430. In addition the project will include the development of a master plan for the site to cover the next 20 years.
Allenton Primary School is located within Ashburton District Council. The school caters for students from years 1 to 6 of which form a junior (years 1 to 2), middle (years 3 to 4) and senior school (years 5 to 6). The school has 16 teaching spaces currently and a capacity of 366. The present roll is 384 and expected to be 400.
Redevelopment at Allenton Primary School will provide 17 teaching spaces and a capacity of 415 students. In addition the project will include the development of a master plan for the site to cover the next 20 years.
