The BOT at Mt Maunganui Intermediate are going through a refurbishment and ILE modifications programme at the school and require Head Building Services to conduct the works. The works may be let as one contract or split into three seperate contracts ans the work will start with one block to completion and then the start of another block through to completion. The BoT would prefer to work with one Building Contractor through all the Blocks.
The Contract Works required are:
• Block E: Rooms 19 and ART – Refurbish classrooms and open the wall between the classrooms to create flexible learning spaces
• Block F: Music and Hard Materials – Refurbishment of learning spaces and modification of layout of spaces. Replacement and modernisation of dust extraction (Health and Safety.
• Block G: Food Tch and Dance and Drama Replace entire metal roof sheeting including spouting and underlay to roof. Refurbish internal fit out of end of life cycle food technology classrooms
• The contract works will be phased so that each project will follow the other.
Once one block is completed and handed over the other blocks can be started. It is possible that each projects will be runs as a separate contract and may be awarded to different contractors.
