The scope of works is yet to be confirmed in detail. However, it is likely to include:

o Replace the main control system.
o Replace the backbone cabling around the school and replace the “daisychain” configuration with a serial backbone cable. (This work could piggyback off the fire upgrade. The fire system contractor has agreed in principle to installing extra ducts between buildings that could then be
used by the security company.)
o Replace all control equipment.
o Retain the existing cabling within the individual buildings unless cable testing determined that the wiring was faulty.
o Replace selected PIR’s where deemed to be old/faulty/redundant.
