The existing Block E at Havelock North High School is to be remodelled and refurbished to provide work spaces for four RTLB staff and a separate resource room, the functions of the rest of this school block are to be re arranged to suit the insertion of the office into a circulation space, with new breakout room and alternative access to classrooms being provided for. Plus upgrades as required of Fire Alarm and associated emergency lighting systems.
• This project encompasses half of the block – the block configuration and footprint will basically remain unchanged – the majority of the work being internal.
• Scope of work primarily involves some internal wall removals and remodelling of the existing block to allow for the RTLB office and resource room to occupy spaces previously in use by the school for circulation and resource storage. The project also includes coverage at existing entrance doors. Floor and wall coverings to RTLB and other refurbished spaces to be replaced with new.
