Overview

Registrations of Interest are sought from Main Building Contractor for ILE + Roofing Works at Devonport School, Devonport, Auckland.

The work includes: Opening up between the three classrooms in one block, affecting load bearing walls, linings, flooring, cabinetry, ceilings etc. Removal of existing wet areas moved and extended to incorporate the new layout. Demolition of existing partition walls and new glazed aluminium joinery installed with sliders to divide teaching spaces to create better lines of sight. Adjacent resource room, office space and some toilet space will be utilized to extend the ILE modernization project to create breakout / withdrawal areas. Replace/renovate acoustics, ventilation, insulation, flooring, pinboard, lighting etc. New LED lighting will be installed to improve lighting levels. Dark rooms to have increased ceiling heights. Upgrade of remaining toiles including the provision of warm water. Work will include replacement of urinals, pans cisterns, plumbing, lighting, toilet partitions and wall linings etc.

Roofing Work includes replacing long run trough profile roofing, spouting and downpipes. A report advises that there are no pitching issues. Replace with prefinished colour trapezoidal profiled metal roofing, pvc, guttering and downpipes.

There is an element of asbestos cladding present that will require an approved plan for removal, handling and disposal.
