The Ministry of Education (the Ministry) as the Buyer is seeking the supply of construction works to carry out key alterations and additions to existing school buildings at both Rodney College and Wellsford School that shall implement Special Needs Modifications.

The project involves works at both schools located in the Wellsford Township in close proximity to each other. The works include both internal alterations that will provide significantly improved accessways and special facilities, largely in existing spaces, and externally by way of improved and safe means of movement into and between buildings

This Procurement is simultaneous with another group of schools also requiring Special Needs Modifications located in closer proximity to the Hellensville Township. Although there is considerable distance between the two towns, the option will be left open for one Main Contractor to execute both projects as one if considered practical and without detriment to either in terms of programming. The basic nature of the works involve a largely repetitive series of modifications throughout each school which are not major, with exception that some of the external accessways in the form of ramps and pathways involve some significant structural works
