The background to this procurement requirement is that due to growing role numbers at Witherlea School, the Ministry of Education has identified a need for more teaching spaces. As the school footprint is already maximised, the school agreed to convert their existing library space to ILE spaces to alleviate the situation. This separate project will be to construct a new stand-alone building adjacent to the Block A junior classrooms, to house the resource room, teachers work room and library. Initial concept design of the building has been undertaken and the plans have been included in this ROI Set of Documents to allow an understanding of the construction methods and overall bulk of the building. The concepts are not finalised as yet and may change given the schools requirements through developed and building consent design stages and the plans are meant as an overview only at this time. This project requires Construction Services and management of all subtrades for the works as set out in the architectural plans, specifications and the MOE Report as per NZ Building Code and Trade Practice. The key deliverables for this project are effective and timely construction and delivery of all works as set out in the plans and specifications. This includes the provision for all sub-contractors and management of all trades and deliverables of each trade. This includes key milestones and deliverables as per the project brief and the ability to adhere to all the pre-conditions as set within the ROI.
