The Board of trustees of Ruakaka School (1094) are seeking Registrations of Interest (ROI) from Main Building Contractors to carry out extensive renovations to a Toilet Blk. The project will also see a SN Bathroom added to the building.
The scope of work will include the following trades or work; Demolition, framing, roofing, concrete foundation work, electrical work, plumbing and drain laying, paving and landscaping. The SN bathroom being part of the same building saves duplication of essential services.

The renovated toilets will become the main toilets for the school with predicted roll growth allowed for. The location is central to all the classroom blocks and entry points are sheltered from weather. The central toilets location gives best drainage to the pumping station on this low lying site.
Both stages will see materials containing asbestos (mca’s) removed from the site and testing and costing has already been done for this.
The is project will also mitigate paving surface flooding in heavy rain between the toilet block and Blk 5. Blk 3 will also receive an electrical upgrade through this project and the existing power supply will add to that available in Blk 5, a “fix” that has been anticipated for three years.
