The solution is for construction works to refurbish Block A classrooms and Block M as a library.
The Block A work will include replacing timber windows with double glazed aluminium inserts, fitting of underfloor insulation and some carpet and pinboard works in two classrooms plus the forming of a wet area.
The Block M work will strip out the existing interior, form an office and fit back new wall and ceiling linings, new flooring and pinboard, new lighting and some power/data works. A covered entrance will be developed to the building.
The work is to be undertaken during normal school hours and all consideration is to be given to maintaining a safe work place, police vetting of all personnel and developing a site specific health and safety plan.
The Contractor is to allow for staging the works, Block M can be actioned during school time but the Block A work is to be carried out during school holidays.
