New Zealand Government Procurement (NZGP) established an electric vehicles (EV) sub-panel as part of the All-of-Government Motor Vehicles contract in 2016.
Participating government agencies use the sub-panel to buy EVs at preferential rates to support the government’s objective of having an emissions-free fleet, where practicable, by 2025.
We are inviting additional New Zealand-based manufacturers or manufacturer-authorised distributors of EVs to submit a response to a forthcoming request for proposals (RFP), which is an opportunity to apply for a place on the sub-panel.
This Advance Notice gives respondents an indication of the required scope of the upcoming RFP to be released in early July 2022 (see attachments).
Existing panel suppliers (including those suppliers who were appointed to the original AoG Motor Vehicles contract in 2015 and the EV suppliers appointed in 2016, 2019, and 2020) are not required to respond to this RFP.
