Overview

Health New Zealand, Northern Region – Northland District (the Principal) requires a Main Contractor to deliver the Construction Works (the Works) required for the Replacement of the Whangarei Hospital Theatre Roof (the Project).
The Principal requires a suitably qualified and experienced Main Contractor to undertake the works required.
The Main Contractor is being procured via an Open Request for Proposals (RFP) issued via the Government Electronic Tenders Services (GETS).
What we need
The Principal is seeking to appoint a Main Contractor to undertake the required upgrades according to the Concept Design and specified requirements.
The Project includes the following elements:
• site preparation including installation of scaffolding and temporary weatherproofing;
• removal and disposal of existing metal roofing, flashings and underlay;
• inspection of all exposed roof framing and internal gutter systems;
• installation of new gutters and gutter membranes;
• installation of new metal roofing system;
• installation of new downpipes; and
• replacement of the plantroom waterproofing membrane (directly below the HVAC unit has already been done so the unit wouldn’t need to be lifted off for this task).
