Overview

Health New Zealand - Te Manawa Taki is seeking proposals from experienced organisations to deliver Suicide Prevention Postvention Coordination Service Programme in the Western Bay of Plenty.

Successful Respondents will be expected to:
• Work collaboratively across sectors and with communities, including iwi and lived-experience partners
• Deliver services aligned with national and regional suicide prevention frameworks and agreed local approaches
• Lead and participate in coordination mechanisms, forums and partnership activities
• Contribute to monitoring, reporting and continuous improvement, including capturing insights to strengthen future responses

It is important that the service is person and whānau-centred practice that meaningfully incorporates lived experience and supports compassionate, respectful engagement with individuals, whānau and communities affected by suicide or suicidal distress. The service must provide safe, culturally responsive and non-judgemental approaches, enabling timely support and connection to appropriate services through flexible and locally responsive coordination.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a nationally aligned approach to suicide prevention and postvention, enabling your organisation to make a meaningful impact by supporting individuals, whānau and communities affected by suicide and suicidal distress. The service will play a key role in strengthening coordinated, community-based responses across prevention, early intervention and postvention within the Western Bay of Plenty district.

Tenders close at 12pm Wednesday 13 May 2026 and must be submitted electronically via GETS.
