Health NZ is seeking to establish an Open Panel of Suppliers for AI Ambient Scribe solutions that can be safely, responsibly, and flexibly adopted across our clinical environments. The panel will provide access to AI‑enabled tools that support clinicians to generate accurate, structured clinical documentation from patient–clinician interactions, while maintaining appropriate clinician oversight and clinical safety controls.

Rather than procuring a single mandated solution, this RFP is intended to create a pre‑qualified panel of suppliers that meet defined clinical, technical, privacy, and assurance requirements. This will enable Health NZ services to select solutions that best meet their local needs over time, without the need for repeated, stand‑alone procurement exercises.

This RFP offers suppliers the opportunity to be part of a national, open panel that supports long‑term adoption of AI ambient scribing across one of the largest public health systems in Aotearoa New Zealand. Successful Respondents will be pre‑qualified under agreed terms and assurance settings, reducing barriers to future engagement and enabling faster, lower‑friction adoption by HNZ services.
