Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora (Health NZ) is seeking a provider in the Western Bay of Plenty district to deliver a Suicide Prevention Postvention Coordination (SPPC) Service.
This procurement relates to the delivery of a district-wide suicide prevention and postvention coordination function that addresses the following objectives:
- Community and interagency coordination, bringing together iwi, communities, government agencies, health services and local organisations to strengthen collaborative suicide prevention efforts.
- Postvention response coordination, supporting timely, culturally responsive and coordinated responses following a suspected suicide, including facilitating communication and support for affected communities and whānau.
- Community capability building, supporting local communities, organisations and networks to strengthen suicide prevention knowledge, resilience and protective factors.
- District suicide prevention planning, supporting the development and implementation of a district suicide prevention and postvention action plan aligned with national strategy and local priorities.
The intention is to run an open Request for Proposal (RFP) process to procure the Suicide Prevention Postvention Coordination service. When the process commences, potential respondents will be able to submit a proposal that demonstrates how their approach meets the requirements and evaluation criteria outlined in the RFP. The full submission criteria and RFP process will be published on GETS in April 2026.
Note : This is a Future Procurement Opportunity (FPO). It is an alert to providers of a potential upcoming procurement activity, though it does not represent a commitment by Health New Zealand to procure. When the RFP is live, interested providers will only be able to ask questions via GETS and answers will only be published via GETS. The RFP will provide information about how providers can ask questions.
