This procurement relates to the delivery of a Regional Workforce Development Service for Te Waipounamu. We are seeking responses from providers that have the track record, capacity and capability to provide against the service specification with a solution that fits the purpose of this procurement.
Key outcomes expected are as follows:
• developed relationships across the region to enable workforce development capability
• engagement with primary and community providers across the region to identify the training needs of clinical kaimahi (i.e., General Practitioners; Nurse Practitioners; Registered Nurses; Enrolled Nurses; Paramedics; Physiotherapists; Pharmacists; Midwives; Podiatrists; Kaiāwhina)
• developed a regional approach to workforce development through collaboration with other providers, utilising a regional working group to co-design the approach and following agreed principles (Appendix 2 &3)
• operating collectively and collaboratively to best meet the priorities of their community
• supporting the increasing range of health roles and services available in the community, with flexible training and workforce development opportunities
• building a sustainable primary and community sector with increased capacity and capability
• identifying eligible qualifications for the purpose of extending clinical capability in a broad range of disciplines for new and existing roles within primary and community settings
• prioritising consistently priced support for kaimahi to complete training including but not limited to:
o release time
o supervision and other costs
o travel and other costs
• identifying and supporting providers for interdisciplinary training practice accreditation
• working with, responding to and collaborating on rural training hub developments.
