Overview

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora (Health NZ) is seeking a provider in Rotorua and Gisborne (including the broader Tairāwhiti) district respectively to deliver Reducing Demand for Methamphetamine Programme.

This procurement relates to the delivery of Methamphetamine Harm Reduction that addresses the following objectives:

- Provide person-centred, early engagement
- Deliver Pou Whānau Connector support
- Strengthen community recovery through peer support
- Expand access to intensive treatment options
- Embed whānau-centred care
- Ensure responsive and culturally safe practice
- Grow and upskill the workforce
- Promote holistic, integrated care
- Support feedback-led improvement and
- Ensure fair and consistent access

The intention is to run an open Request for Proposal (RFP) process to procure the Reducing Demand for Methamphetamine Programme. When the process commences, potential respondents will be able to submit a proposal that demonstrates how their proposal meets the criteria of RFP.

Indicative time frame: The full submission criteria and RFP process will be published on GETS in January/ February 2026.
