Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora (Health NZ) is seeking a provider to deliver a dedicated health transport service for outpatients travelling from Taumarunui to Waikato Hospital for day appointments. The service is expected to accommodate approximately 9-10 patients per day with a minimum seating capacity of 12.
This procurement relates to a service that addresses rural access challenges by providing safe, reliable and appropriate transport connecting rural Taumarunui to the hospital.
The intention is to run an open Request for Proposal (RFP) process to procure this service. Respondents will be able to submit a proposal that demonstrates how their service model meets the RFP.
Indicative time frame: The full submission criteria and RFP process will be published on GETS February 2026.
