Overview

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is undertaking a procurement process to establish a Hawke’s Bay Cancer Centre, aimed at ensuring that people in Hawke’s Bay receive faster access to high-quality cancer treatment, closer to home, through coordinated pathways that reduce delays, support equity, and improve patient and whānau outcomes and experience of care.

To meet our goal in a way that provides the best value for money, and enables the fastest possible commencement of services, Health NZ will consider registrations of interest for both a publicly funded design-and-construct model and privately funded commercial models.

This ROI seeks market information and registrations of interest for three different commercial models to establish linear accelerator (LINAC) facilities and delivery of radiation oncology services; and establish new facilities for the relocation of existing Health NZ outpatient medical oncology and clinical haematology services, in Hawke’s Bay.

Refer to Part 1 of the ROI for a description of the three delivery models Health NZ is exploring through this ROI.
