The National Public Health Service, Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is pleased to invite applications for the next round of the Pacific Fund for Alcohol Harm Prevention. The goal of this Fund is to support Pacific communities to design and deliver culturally grounded, community-driven initiatives that prevent and reduce alcohol-related harm.
Available funding
Funding is available for grants ranging from $10,000 to $65,000 (whole-of-life), for projects of up to 12 months in duration.
What are we looking for?
To apply, you must be a Pacific community group or organisations in New Zealand (including churches, community clubs, grassroots organisations, and charitable or non-profit entities led by or serving Pacific peoples), or a Pacific health provider delivering culturally informed health promotion initiatives for Pacific peoples.
Note: Applicants who received funding in the 2024/25 Pacific Fund round may apply again, but only with a new initiative. For these applicants, first-round projects are still underway and will not be assessed until June 2026, so any applications that duplicate or extend their previously funded initiative will not be considered.
We welcome initiatives that:
• Deliver Pacific-led, culturally relevant, and community-driven approaches to alcohol harm prevention
• Raise awareness of alcohol-related harm through tailored education and resources
• Strengthen Pacific leadership, networks, and partnerships in harm prevention
• Enable sustainable, culturally safe change that addresses the root causes of alcohol harm
• Build the capacity and capability of Pacific organisations and contribute to long-term wellbeing and equity outcomes for Pacific peoples across Aotearoa.

This funding opportunity will be advertised on the Government Electronic Tender Service (GETS) website, where you can download the Application Form and find all supporting information.
