Health NZ plan to follow a RFP to find local providers that will co-ordinate and/or deliver perinatal mental health packages of care for whānau living in MidCentral, Capital, Coast, Hutt Valley and Wairarapa districts.
We are seeking services that can achieve the following outcomes:
* Deliver flexible perinatal mental health packages of care to meet the diverse needs and preferences of whānau.
* Advocate for the right of hapū māmā, babies and children to be treated as tapu, with safety, dignity and respect.
* Build whānau to reach their full potential and aspirations as caregivers
* Offer consistent, connected care to whanau by working collaboratively
* Offer early, holistic support at home and in the community, reducing the likelihood of acute mental health interventions.
Funding will be allocated to support populations with the highest health need with an annual funding allowance of:
* $200,401 for MidCentral,
* $212,000 for Capital, Coast & Hutt Valley and
* $70,000 for Wairarapa
The expected initial contract term is up to 3 years and potential extension terms of 2 + 2 years.
