Overview

Infant Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (ICAMHS).
ICAMHS Asian Community Service RFP- Counties Manukau
Budget 2022 set aside funding over four years for specialist mental health and addiction services to increase the availability of services, and trial new models of specialist mental health and addiction services designed to support people with specific needs in targeted areas across the country. A portion of these funds was allocated to specifically expand and enhance Infant Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (ICAMHS).
Counties Manukau was identified as a priority district and the Hospital and Specialist Services (HSS) team received funding to grow ICAMHS capacity and services. Alongside this investment, funding has been made available for community-based services aimed at supporting engagement in mental health services for tamariki, and their whānau from Asian communities. This procurement opportunity is for new community-based services. A new community service will be established in the Counties-Manukau district to support Asian tamariki up to intermediate schooling age and their whānau who have (or are on a trajectory to develop) moderate to severe mental health problems.
