Health New Zealand will procure Simulation Manikins to train Counties and Waitemata frontline staff. The CTEC clinical managers assessed the Laerdral manikins have the most suitable technology. This exemption is justified by the highly specific nature of the course curriculum software and the necessity for custom built hardware that runs this software. In addition the new simulator is required to integrate with the existing fleet to enable progression of learning and course completion to be recorded across all training devices.
