Overview

Health NZ is seeking a capable and experienced contractor to deliver the balance of substructure works for the New Dunedin Hospital (NDH) Inpatient Building on the former Cadbury factory site bounded by Cumberland Street, St Andrews Street and Castle Street in central Dunedin.

This package plays a vital role in progressing the NDH project and includes the installation of the lower slab and base isolator plinths. The piling work is mostly complete, and a separate contractor will be moving ahead of the substructure package completing the initial pile cap and basement perimeter construction work.

The successful contractor will be expected to manage and execute a complex scope involving concrete works, reinforcing, waterproofing, coordination with ground works and adherence to strict quality and dimensional tolerances.

(Please note the draft Contract (Part 4) includes tracked changes for ease of reference to NZ3910 standard contract terms. Health New Zealand reserves its rights to amend or substitute as deemed necessary at any time during contract negotiations.
Additionally, the 'Rates Schedule' will be provided as an addendum later this week)
