The Te Waipounamu region is transitioning to a single, bulk-funded model for Home and Community Support Services (HCSS), replacing the fragmented, former District Health Board (DHB) specific arrangements. This opportunity is also to develop an innovative approach to individualised funding within a clinical framework. This shift aims to address issues such as inequities in access, inefficient service delivery, inconsistent wait times for clients, varying assessment processes and the administration burden on our providers.
We are looking to contract with a small number of providers to supply HCSS and Individualised Funding throughout Te Waipounamu who understand the restorative model of care and can apply it in accordance with the latest version of the National HCSS Tier 2 Service Specifications.
We need well established providers who hold Ngā Paewera Health and Disability Standards certification. They need to have the capacity and capability to work collaboratively with Health NZ and other providers to achieve positive health outcomes for individuals and local communities across Te Waipounamu. We need these providers to be experienced and innovative with the proven ability to provide culturally responsive service.
