Overview

The Mental Health Infrastructure Programme (MHIP) is part of Te Whatu Ora – Health New Zealand’s Infrastructure and Investment Group (‘Te Whatu Ora’). Its role is to support the delivery of mental health infrastructure projects across Aotearoa New Zealand.

To support the procurement strategy for the first tranche of MHIP projects, Te Whatu Ora will be conducting market engagement with potential suppliers and construction industry participants commencing in late July 2022. This is an opportunity for industry to be involved in shaping the delivery of mental health infrastructure projects across Aotearoa.

Te Whatu Ora will commence the market engagement process for MHIP projects in the central North Island, including in the Lakes, Tairāwhiti and MidCentral districts. Virtual industry briefings will be held at the following times:

• Wednesday 27 July, 5:00pm to 6:30pm
• Monday 1 August, 2:30pm to 4:00pm
• Wednesday 3 August, 8:00am to 9:30am

Please indicate in your response which of the above dates you are intending to participate in.

Timings of subsequent briefings will be communicated as they are confirmed and will cover projects in the Waikato and Bay of Plenty (Whakatāne and Tauranga) districts.

The briefings will include information on Te Whatu Ora, the MHIP, specific MHIP projects and an overview of the wider Te Whatu Ora Infrastructure & Investment delivery strategy. There will also be an opportunity for participant Q&A.

Te Whatu Ora is committed to ensuring a fair and transparent market engagement process for the MHIP. Market engagement (as described in the Notice of Information) is separate from any formal procurement process that Te Whatu Ora may choose to conduct for the MHIP, and participants in market engagement will not be advantaged or disadvantaged when participating in any subsequent procurement.

Please use the response form provided in Word file to complete your registration of interest for this Market Participation initiative.
