The Taieri College Board of Trustees are seeking to engage a suitably qualified main contractor under a Design & Build contract for the replacement of the boiler system at Taieri College. Both the age, condition and Regional Council emission requirements have led to this work being required. The project is fully Ministry funded via unforeseen capital.

The main consideration for timing and handover relates to the need to maintain heat throughout the school while the work is being undertaken. As such, the tenderers will be asked to consider the likes of logistics (delivery timeframes for key plant), disruption to school activities, the condition and lifespan of the existing plant, and the possibility of temporary heating solutions.
