The Department of Corrections is seeking the supply of varying types and sizes of laundry bags for the prisons throughout the country managed by the Department, to support the cleaning of the high volume of Department issued prisoner clothing and bedding within commercial laundry operations located across the Department’s Prison estates.

In addition to this function, most units within the prisons have smaller laundry facilities to enable prisoners to wash their personal items. Laundry bags are required to ensure that each prisoner’s clothing does not mix with those of other prisoners.
