Overview

We (Ara Poutama Aotearoa, The Department of Corrections) need a provider/s to deliver the refreshed Out of Gate for Complex Needs Reintegration Service (OOG for Complex Needs) at Corrections sites across New Zealand. The aim of this refreshed service is to support individuals assessed as medium to high risk of reoffending transition back into their local community.

The service will provide tools participants need to live successfully in the community and reduce their likelihood of reoffending.

The service will consist of two parts:
• The prison-based reintegration programme (formerly known as the Remand Reintegration Programme, or RRP) designed and delivered by the successful providers. It will be available to all individuals on remand, delivered at prison sites that accommodate remandees. The programme will support people with their immediate reintegration needs and access to resources. It will also provide a platform for eligible people to be referred into the reintegration support aspect of the service.
• The reintegration support service will support eligible participants transition from prison into the community or returning to New Zealand on a Returning Offenders Order.

OOG for Complex Needs will be delivered across all regions, with referrals originating from all 18 prisons nationwide. Providers may submit proposals for one or multiple regions; however, each proposal must cover both components of the service.

We will be running four provider briefing sessions, we encourage interested providers to attend one of these. The dates and times for these are as follows:
1. Wednesday 8 October, 12pm
2. Friday 10 October, 12pm
3. Monday 13 October, 2pm
4. Thursday 16 October 12pm.
