Overview

Christchurch Men's Prison (CMP) is a critically important prison and is Corrections primary high security site for the South Island.
CMP is currently in the market seeking a partner to design, construct, finance and maintain an expansion to existing CMP prison under a Public Private Partnership (PPP) model.

Certain capital works are being executed by Corrections independently of the PPP model framework, defined as 'retained scope' activities and the Department seeks to engage with a contractor to manage and undertake these retained scope works.

Retained scope activities include upgrades to wastewater and water infrastructure, realignment of the water race, provision of utilities, road development, and preparation of the construction platform for PPP, as follows:

1. Decontamination Earthworks
2. Enabling PPP works
3. Alterations to PPO civils
4. Enabling works to the Farm Precinct
5. Demolition
