The Department of Corrections (the Department) is responsible for dealing with, and managing, Prison Trust Account (PTA) funds on behalf of the Crown. The Department’s obligations and responsibilities regarding PTA funds are defined in the Corrections Act 2004 and Corrections Regulations 2005. We will be seeking technology solutions that can support those legal obligations and policies.
The Department is seeking, at a minimum, a technology solution.
It is also interested in any additional available services that can complement the technology solution in supporting the following functional scope:
o Set-up of PTA accounts in line with business rules.
o Receive and allocate funds to PTA accounts.
o Requesting and accounting for all withdrawals from PTA accounts.
o Managing PTA accounts covering reconciliations, monitoring, compliance, and reporting.
o Close PTA accounts.
o Enables automation to support the processing of paper-based PTA forms.
o Enables all relevant integrations.
o Enables insights, queries, and reporting.
The Department intends to run a multi stage procurement process and is looking to understand market solution options and capability via this RFI
prior to a detailed request for solutions via an RFP.
