This is a future procurement opportunity ("FPO") for the supply of prisoner escort vehicles ("PEV"). PEVs are used for securely and safely transporting people in the Department's care between custodial facilities, courts and medical facilities. The scope of this opportunity will be fully documented in the future notice of procurement, however is expected to include:
• design;
• vehicle selection and supply;
• supply of materials, accessories and consumables;
• fabrication and fit out; and
• certification, acceptance testing, delivery, handover and familiarisation.

The procurement is expected to commence in early 2021, and is for a multi-vehicle, multi-year contract.
