Tai Aroha is a Special Treatment Unit that stands alone in our Community to address violence in our men. It offers a therapeutic community in the Waikato for men of all cultures and nationalities, providing residents with an intensive therapeutic programme and other positive activities such as team building, educational activities and work programmes.
The purpose of this Notice is to provide advance notification to the market of the Ara Poutama Aotearoa’s (Department of Corrections’) intention to release a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the supply of classroom based Wānanga learning of Te Ao Māori world views to Department to offenders residing at Tai Aroha.
The Department is seeking the supply of classroom based Wānanga learning services which provide education to offenders, support offenders and reduce re-offending.
The RFP is intended to be released via the Government Electronic Tenders Service (GETS) in late September 2020.
