The purpose of this Notice is to provide advance notification to the market of the Department of Corrections’ intention to release a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the supply of Mothers with Babies Unit Support Services at Auckland Region Women’s Corrections Facility (ARWCF) and Christchurch Women’s Prison (CWP).
The Department is seeking the supply of provider/s to:
• Deliver a kaupapa Māori parenting support service at ARWCF and/or CWP for women and their children (up to the age of two years) in the Mothers with Babies Unit.
• Support women and their children in the Mothers with Babies Unit transition to the community.
• Provide ongoing support for up to 12 months to women and their whānau in the community.
The Department will be running partnership hui in Auckland and Christchurch to provide more information about the Mothers with Babies Support Service in advance of the release of the RFP.
The partnership hui will provide more detail on the content, specifications and procurement approach. These are an opportunity for prospective providers to ask questions about the Mothers with Babies Support Service and to provide input into the design of the service.

The RFP is intended to be released via the Government Electronic Tenders Service (GETS) in late January/early February 2020.
Note: No information from potential respondents is requested nor required from this advance notice. Suppliers who are interested in being part of the proposed RFP process should ensure that they are registered to receive GETS notifications for the applicable RFx Categories.
For suppliers interested in attending these hui, please RSVP by sending the name of your organisation and the attending representative(s) to tenders@corrections.govt.nz by 6 November 2019 for the Auckland hui and 18 November 2019 for the Christchurch hui.
