The purpose of this Notice is to provide advance notification to the market of the Department of Corrections intention to release a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the supply of the Whare Oranga Ake Reintegration service (WOA), based at Springhill Corrections Facility in Waikato region.

The WOA service will support offenders who identify as Maori to address their reintegration needs, including facilitation of connection to whanau, culture and identity so they can effectively reintegrate back into the community.

Before going to market to procure this service, the Department intends to conduct a Hui with local providers. This Hui will give local providers an outline of the service requirements and notice of our intent to procure the service. It will also provide the Department an overview of the current market.

The Hui will take place at the Whare Oranga Ake facility at Springhill Corrections Facility on the 15th of December and will be lead by the Maori Services Team and the Springhill Corrections Facility Prison Director, in conjunction with the Offender Employment and Reintegration team.

If you wish to attend this Hui please confirm via email no later than 4pm Friday 11 December to tenders@corrections.govt.nz . Once registered you will be notified of the agenda for the day, please note you will need security clearance to enter the prison.

The RFP is intended to be released via the Government Electronic Tenders Service (GETS) in mid December 2015.

Suppliers who are interested in being part of the proposed RFP process should ensure that they register to attend the Hui and are registered to receive GETS notifications for the applicable RFx Categories.
