Watercare Services Limited (Watercare) has committed to delivering four Work Packages for the 2026 Local Wastewater Network Renewals programme.

Three of the Work Packages consist of CCTV (closed-circuit television) investigations and pipeline rehabilitation on a Catchment basis. Within each Catchment there are pipelines that have been identified as requiring rehabilitation. Additionally, some pipelines have been selected for CCTV investigation as they are likely to require rehabilitation either within this contract or in the near future.

It is expected that a portion of the lines requiring CCTV will result in an increased scope of rehabilitation work within this contract period.

The fourth Work Package consists of approximately 12km of CCTV investigations broken into two regions, Central and Southern. The results from the CCTV investigations will inform Watercare’s Risk Model and enable proactive identification of assets requiring future rehabilitation.

The four Work Packages are summarised as follows:
• Work Package 1: Castor Bay Catchment;
• Work Package 2: Waterview Catchment;
• Work Package 3: Orakei Catchment
• Work Package 4: CCTV for Central and Southern.
