Watercare is seeking to upgrade the nearing end of life compute platforms that the centralised Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) Platform runs on. With this initiative, Watercare is looking to improve operational efficiency and decision-making, enhance system resiliency, reduce downtime risks associated with an aging system, and finally to optimise some communications components. With the refresh, Watercare will also look to ensure the systems align to the current preferred IT standards, including NIST800.
