Procurement at Western Bay |
Western Bay of Plenty District Council (Western Bay) will shortly invite suitably qualified and experienced contractors to tender for the construction of a proposed Cycleway Suspension Bridge. The approximately 70m long pedestrian bridge will serve as a crossing over Waipapa river for cyclists and pedestrians.
The proposed bridge is located on the northern side of the ECMT Rail Bridge 52 in Omokoroa. It will include for a safe access container structure under the railway bridge on the true right bank of the Waipapa Stream, accessed from Prole Road.
This project also includes for the supply of most materials, however it is intended that imported materials will be supplied by the client.
We will invite proposals in an open competitive manner via GETS. RFx documents are due to be available from GETS no later than 4 December 2020 with the contract awarded before the end of January and construction complete by the end of May.
