Overview

Western Bay of Plenty District Council is looking for suitably qualified and experienced contractors to tender for the construction of the Omokoroa Golf Course and Precious Family Reserve Coastal Bund and Walkway.

This project comprises earthworks, precast concrete stormwater outlet structures, timber retaining walls and landscaping works. The construction project requires:

~ haulage and compaction of imported fill to the site locations from local and possibly off-site stockpile sources
~ integration of earthworks with the adjacent retaining wall
~ precast concrete stormwater outlet structures where applicable
~ close co-ordination and co-operation with the Omokoroa Golf Club designated representatives
~ safe demarcation of work areas and haulage routes
~ environmental and sediment control measures along the foreshore edge
~ completion of portions of work in agreed stages
~ reinstatement of topsoil, grassing and vegetation to a high environmental standard, and to tie into the particular characteristics and standards of the golf course.

The site is adjacent to approximately 1300m of the Omokoroa coastal foreshore and an indigenous Biological Diversity Area.
