Overview
The Western Bay of Plenty stretches from Waihi Beach to Otamarakau, covering 212,000 hectares of coastal, rural and urban areas.
It is a growth area of New Zealand, with a population of about 46,000 people. The main urban centres include Waihi Beach, Katikati, Omokoroa, Te Puna, Te Puke and Maketu.
The works include:
Upgrades to the existing stormwater reticulation system are to be made in Omokoroa located along Omokoroa Road and the intersection with The Esplanade to discharge to the Harbour. 11 new manholes, 250 metres of stormwater pipes, 2 stainless steel grates at the outlets and 2 scour protection Reno mattresses are to be installed as shown on the construction plans/drawings and noted in the Schedule of Prices.
